Winter Training has ended
Competition has started
| Circuit Training will start with a good warm up, followed by stretching. The circuits will involve excercises specific to rowing such as press-ups, abdominal crunches, squat jumps, star jumps and burpees, plus other useful strengh excercises using various pieces of gym equipment. The session will always finish with a warm down and more stretching. Please bring £2 with you for each weekly session to cover rental of the hall. The hall is booked from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, but, to allow time for everyone to get there from work, the warm up will start at 6.00pm precisely. Circuit training is essential for any member of the club wishing to improve their performance in the gig next year! |
Cycling will often start from a pub car park and end in the same place. It will involve some serious hill work so that we can work those leg muscles. Sessions will normally be "on-road". It is essential that you have a well maintained bicycle, a good set of lights that clearly illuminates your surroundings and a cycle helmet. We also recommend that your wear a reflective, waterproof and windproof jacket and carry a bicycle repair kit. Cycle sessions will normally be followed be a trip to the pub for those that want to. We are also planning some longer rides at weekends. Watch this space! |
